SCENE XI: The graveyard / crypt
As the family mourns and leaves Juliet's body in the crypt, Romeo, failing to receive the Friar's message, arrives in disguise and grieves his wife's death. Seeing Paris there, he stabs him and in extreme sorrow drinks poison. Juliet awakes and is anxious to escape, when she discovers Romeo dead. Grief stricken and traumatized, she stabs herself.
